Meteora guide tutorial
How to claim fees, rebalance and close a DLMM position on Meteora
Fees on Meteora don't collect themselves, and a position that drifts out of range stops earning. This shows how to claim, rebalance, withdraw and close a DLMM position, and how to check your rent came back.
- Best for
- Liquidity providers with an open DLMM position.
- You'll need
- The wallet that holds the position
- A little SOL for the transaction
- Cost
- Only the transaction's Jito tip. Closing refunds the position rent, about 0.059 SOL; bin-array rent is never refunded.
Worked example
The position panel and its buttons
- Your Liquidity
- $1,000.00
- Claimable Fees
- $12.40
- P&L
- +1.2%
- 24h Fee / TVL
- 0.38%

Step by step
Select your position
Open the pool and select your position in the bottom panel. The management panel opens on the right.[1]
Check your fees and P&L
The positions list shows each position's Claimable Fees and P&L, in dollars and percent.[1]
Claim your fees
Click “Claim All Fees” to collect the fees from all your positions in one transaction, then approve it in your wallet.[1]
Rebalance if you're out of range
If the price has left your range, click “Rebalance” to re-centre the range around the current price, or wait for the price to return.[1]
Withdraw part of it
To take some liquidity out but keep the position, click “Remove Liquidity” and choose how much.[1]
Close it for good
To leave completely and get the rent back, click “Withdraw and Close”.[1]
Optional: leave in one token
“Zap Out” withdraws and converts everything into the token you choose in one step, for positions of up to 250 bins.[1]
Good to know
- You can't take just one token out of the active bin: you must withdraw both.[1]
- A position can only close once its liquidity, fees and rewards are all cleared.[3]
- “Close All Positions” exits every position at once.[1]
- Bin-array rent (about 0.075 SOL) never comes back, because other LPs may still use those bins.[2]
When to claim
Fees and rewards stay in your position until you claim them; they are not added back into your liquidity.[3] Each claim is a transaction with its own small cost, so many LPs claim when the amount is worth it rather than after every trade.
Rebalance or wait?
Out of range, your position holds one token and earns nothing.[3] Re-centring puts your tokens back to work around today's price, and it costs a transaction. Waiting costs nothing, but the price may take a long time to return, or never do. Neither is free of risk; Impermanent loss on Meteora shows the numbers.
