How to stake MET on Meteora, and how unstaking works

Staking MET on Meteora earns a share of 10% of DLMM protocol fees, paid in USDC after each monthly cycle. Here are the steps, and the unstaking rules to understand before you stake anything.

Best for
MET holders who want a share of DLMM protocol fees and can leave their MET staked for whole cycles.
You'll need
  • A Solana wallet holding at least 200 MET
  • A little SOL for fees
Cost
Network fees only. But a normal unstake takes 7 days and gives up that cycle's pending rewards, and leaving at once costs 10% of the MET you take out.

Step by step

  1. Open the staking page

Go to meteora.ag/referral. The page is called “Dynamic Referral Staking”.[1]

  2. Connect and verify your wallet

Click “Connect Wallet”, then “Verify Wallet”. Verifying means signing a message, not a payment; Ledger users sign a transaction instead.[1]

  3. Decide about a referral code

If someone gave you a referral code, you can link it under “Have a Referral Code?”. A wallet can link only one code, and it can never be changed.[1]

  4. Stake your MET

Click “Stake MET”, type the amount (at least 200 MET), click “Stake” and approve the transaction in your wallet.[1]

  5. Watch your staking overview

“Staking Overview” shows My Staked Amount and an Estimated APR. The numbers update every 15 minutes, and the APR is only an estimate that changes with trading.[1][2]

  6. Claim after each cycle

Each cycle lasts a month. Some time after it ends, your rewards move from Pending to Claimable; click “Claim Referral Reward” to receive them in USDC.[1]

Good to know

  • Your reward is a share of 10% of DLMM protocol fees, based on how much you stake and for how long, paid in USDC.[1]
  • A normal unstake takes 7 days and gives up that cycle's pending rewards; “Unstake Immediately” costs 10% of the MET you take out.[1]
  • If you keep some MET staked, leave at least 200, or unstake everything.[1]
  • On 29 Sep 2026, 102.5 million MET were staked by 3,458 wallets, and the current cycle ends on 21 October 2026 at 10:00 UTC.[2]

Before you stake

Meteora's page describes the program as a three-month campaign, and its third monthly cycle ends on 21 October 2026.[1][2] Check the page for what follows before you stake late in a cycle, because unstaking gives up that cycle's rewards.

Referrals

With at least 200 MET staked you can create a referral code. As a referrer you earn 8% of the protocol fees that your referred users' DLMM positions generate, capped at 0.10 USDC per MET you stake, per cycle. If you unstake, your referred users lose their pending rewards for that cycle too.[1]

Meteora rewards compares staking with Meteora's other programs, and What is MET? covers the token itself.
