How to read Meteora pool data with its free API

Meteora publishes free, read-only APIs for its DLMM and DAMM v2 pools. With one command you can see protocol totals; with another, search every pool for a token. No account, key or wallet needed.

Read on 29 Sep 2026 at 06:06 UTC; decimals trimmed. Dollar values are in US dollars. refreshed_at is a Unix timestamp in seconds. 129 DLMM pools were named SOL-USDC that day, which is why you always work with the address.

Step by step

  1. Open a terminal

    Any terminal with curl works. Meteora describes its REST APIs as free and public.[1]

  2. Ask for the DLMM totals

    Run curl -s https://dlmm.datapi.meteora.ag/stats/protocol_metrics. You'll get one JSON object with total_tvl, volume_24h, fee_24h, total_volume, total_fees and total_pools.[2]

  3. Search for a pool

    Run curl -s "https://dlmm.datapi.meteora.ag/pools?query=SOL-USDC&page_size=2". The query matches pool names, tokens or addresses; the reply has total, pages, current_page, page_size and data, the pools themselves.[3]

  4. Sort the results

    Add &sort_by=tvl:desc, or a time-window metric such as volume_24h:desc or fee_tvl_ratio_24h:desc. The default is volume_24h:desc, and page_size can go up to 1,000.[3]

  5. Read one pool's settings

    In each pool, pool_config holds the bin_step, base_fee_pct and collect_fee_mode; tvl, volume, fees and fee_tvl_ratio hold the numbers by time window.[4]

  6. Check the pool's tokens

    Compare token_x.address and token_y.address with the contract addresses you expect. Names repeat; addresses don't.[4]

  7. Do the same for DAMM v2

    DAMM v2 has its own API at https://damm-v2.datapi.meteora.ag, with the same /stats/protocol_metrics call.[5]

Good to know

  • The API only reads data. To add liquidity or swap from code, use the TypeScript SDK or Rust integration in the developer guide.[7]
  • The numbers are indexed from the chain; each reply says when it was refreshed.[8]
  • Pool names aren't unique: always work with addresses.[4]

Meteora's own indexer and DefiLlama count differently: DLMM's TVL is $234.3M here and $189M on DefiLlama, which other pages in this guide use. Always say which source a number comes from.

Using it from code

Any language that can fetch a URL and read JSON works. This JavaScript lists the five SOL-USDC DLMM pools with the most money in them:

Save it as pools.mjs (the await at the top needs a module file) and run node pools.mjs with Node.js 18 or newer. Each line is a pool's address, bin step, base fee in percent and TVL in dollars. On 29 Sep 2026 it printed this, with the long decimals trimmed:
