Three layers decide
Step by step
Rule out the United States
xStocks are never offered in the United States or to U.S. persons. xStocks' own DeFi dashboard asks every visitor to confirm this before using it.
- 1Not for U.S. persons
- 2A risk acknowledgement
Check the issuer's list
The issuer's Restricted Countries page prohibits the U.S., Iran, North Korea and Syria and names 24 more countries it does not serve. xStocks' notices also name the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.
Check your platform's list
Each exchange, wallet or app applies its own licences on top. Kraken, for example, does not offer xStocks in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. or Australia.
Check the product too
Extras can have their own rules. Kraken's xStocks Vaults leave out further countries, including Singapore, New Zealand, India and the UAE.
Use your real residence
Platforms check the details you verify with them, such as residence and citizenship. xStocks says its products are off-limits to U.S. citizens, residents and taxpayers, even abroad. Getting around a restriction breaks their terms and can get an account closed.
