$500 of collateral at 2x opens a $1,000 SOL long. If SOL rises 10%, you gain about $100, 20% of your collateral; if it falls 10%, you lose about $100. Opening costs 0.06% of $1,000, or $0.60.

Step by step

  1. Open Perps and connect

Go to jup.ag/perps and connect your wallet.

  2. Pick a market and side

Choose SOL, ETH or wBTC, then Long if you expect a rise or Short for a fall.

  3. Set size and leverage

Enter your collateral and slide the leverage. Higher leverage brings the liquidation price closer.

  4. Add take profit and stop loss

Optional orders that close the position at your prices.

  5. Check, open and sign

Read the liquidation price and fees, then confirm. A keeper executes the request on-chain within moments.

Good to know

  • On the SOL, ETH and wBTC markets, liquidation forfeits all remaining collateral to the JLP pool. Only deposit what you can afford to lose.[2]
  • Open and close fees are 0.06% of the trade size; a borrow fee accrues hourly while the position is open.[3]
  • You can hold up to 6 positions on the pool markets: one long and one short each for SOL, ETH and wBTC.[1]
  • Prices come from oracles: Edge by Chaos Labs first, with Chainlink and Pyth as checks and fallback.[1]
  • Beta markets such as JUP, HYPE and tokenized stocks use USDC collateral and an hourly funding rate instead of the borrow fee.[1][4]
