How to check the PreStocks transfer fee

The transfer fee lives in the token and can change. Here's how to read the current fee, and any scheduled change, straight from the chain instead of trusting a screenshot.

Reading ANTHROPIC's fee with one RPC call

Epoch 1044 ≥ 1043, so the newer fee applies: 300 basis points = 3%. The maximum is the largest possible number, i.e. no cap. Reply trimmed; checked 28 Sep 2026.

Step by step

  1. Copy the mint

    Take the official mint from prestocks.com or our token list.

  2. Open it on an explorer

    Paste the mint into an explorer such as Solscan. Token-2022 tokens list their extensions; find the transfer fee.[1]

  3. Read the basis points

    Fees are in basis points: 100 is 1% and 300 is 3%. PreStocks mints set no maximum fee.[2][1]

  4. Look at both fee slots

    A mint stores an older and a newer fee, each with a starting epoch. The newer one applies once the network reaches that epoch, and a change is set two epochs ahead.[2]

  5. Or ask the chain directly

    Run the getAccountInfo call in the example and read transferFeeConfig in the reply, then compare newerTransferFee.epoch with the current epoch from getEpochInfo.[3][4]

  6. Test with a tiny transfer (optional)

    Send a very small amount to a second wallet you own and compare what arrives. The shortfall is the fee.

Good to know

  • On 28 Sep 2026 (epoch 1044): 3% on seven tokens, 1% on SpaceX and 0% on the expired XAI.[1]
  • Solana applies a fee change two epochs after it's set, about three days at current speeds.[2]
  • Withheld fees stay in the recipients' token accounts until the issuer's authority collects them.[2]

Why the chain, not a web page

PreStocks' terms let it change any fee at any time, without notice, including on tokens you already hold.[5] The mint is where a change actually takes effect, so it's the one place a fee can't be out of date.[2] Checking takes a minute; being wrong costs 3% of every move.
