Arbitrage loop. When tokens trade above real-world prices, eligible arbitrageurs buy exposure off-chain, mint and sell; when they trade below, they buy on-chain and sell the matching exposure. Minting and redemption need KYC.

No shareholder rights
PreStocks give economic exposure only: no ownership, voting, dividend or information rights, and no legal claim on the collateral behind them.

Issuer control
One authority can mint, freeze, pause, change fees and move or burn tokens in any account. The terms reserve freezes, forced transfers, burns and compulsory redemptions.

Counterparties you can't see
The holding entities are confidential. If one fails, is frozen or has defective title, what holders can recover may be reduced or eliminated.

Fees that change
A transfer fee applies to every move of the token and was 3% on most tokens on 28 Sep 2026. The terms let PreStocks change any fee at any time, including on tokens you already hold.

Liquidity and premiums
Pools can be thin, and tokens can trade well above or below the shares' secondary-market price. Large trades move the price.

Deadlines
An IPO or acquisition starts a conversion window. Tokens not converted in time expire worthless, as XAI did on 12 Sep 2026.

Regulation
PreStocks are not available to U.S. persons or in 36 named jurisdictions, and the rules can change. Using them from a restricted place breaches the terms.

Technology
Token-2022 programs, Solana itself, wallets and apps can fail or be exploited; a lost seed phrase can't be recovered.

PreStocks are Solana tokens, issued by PreStocks, that track the share price of private companies such as OpenAI, Anthropic, SpaceX and Anduril. Each token follows one company. They give economic exposure only, not shares.
Is holding PreStocks the same as owning shares?
No. PreStocks' FAQ says the tokens confer no ownership, voting, dividend, information or other legal rights, and they are not issued or endorsed by the companies they track.
Where can I buy PreStocks?
On Jupiter and the wallets and apps built on it, from a Solana wallet, if you're eligible. Start from the company page on prestocks.com so you get the official mint.
Are PreStocks available in the US?
No. They are not available in the United States, to U.S. persons, or in the 36 jurisdictions and sanctioned places named in PreStocks' terms, which include Singapore, mainland China and Russia.
Do I need KYC to buy PreStocks?
Not to trade: buying and selling on-chain in DeFi needs no KYC. Minting and redeeming tokens directly with the issuer require eligibility checks and KYC.
How much are PreStocks fees?
There's no annual management fee, but every transfer pays a fee built into the token: 3% on most tokens and 1% on SpaceX on 28 Sep 2026. Pool fees, price impact and a tiny Solana network fee come on top.
What happens to PreStocks when the company goes public?
The token becomes convertible into an equivalent tokenized public stock, and holders have up to nine months after the IPO to convert. SpaceX PreStocks must be swapped by 11:59pm UTC on 12 March 2027.
What happened to xAI PreStocks?
SpaceX acquired xAI. XAI could be swapped into SpaceX PreStocks at 0.7165 per token until 12 September 2026; unconverted XAI expired worthless.

Get the mint from the company page on prestocks.com and compare every character. Official mints start with “Pre”, use Token-2022 with 9 decimals and carry prestocks.com metadata.
