PreStocks on StonkFun: memecoins paired with pre-IPO tokens

StonkFun, a Solana launchpad for coins “paired with anything”, lets creators pair new coins with PreStocks, and the two have been partners since August 2026. Coins can trade against ANTHROPIC or OPENAI and pay rewards in them. Here's what that means.

What StonkFun is

StonkFun (stonkfun.xyz) is a Solana launchpad where every coin trades against a quote token its creator picks: an xStock, a stablecoin, SOL, a memecoin or a PreStocks token.[1][2] Reward coins charge a transfer tax and pay it out to holders, in the paired token or in the coin itself.[3]

The partnership

On 6 August 2026 StonkFun announced the partnership: support for OPENAI, POLYMARKET, ANDURIL, NEURALINK and KALSHI alongside the already supported ANTHROPIC, and a PreStocks-funded buyback and burn of $25,000 spread across the top five coins by market cap.[2] StonkFun's live pair list now also includes FIGUREAI, which launched in September.[4]

How a PreStocks-paired coin works

Each reward payout is an ANTHROPIC transfer, so the token's transfer fee (3% on 28 Sep 2026) comes off it.

A reward coin paired with Anthropic PreStocks: trades settle against ANTHROPIC, and the tax is paid out in it.
  1. A creator launches a coin on StonkFun and picks, say, ANTHROPIC as its pair.[1]
  2. Buying the coin means paying ANTHROPIC into its pool; an aggregator may route SOL or USDC through ANTHROPIC first.
  3. If it's a reward coin, the tax on each trade is collected and paid out pro-rata to holders, in ANTHROPIC or in the coin itself.[3]
  4. Holders receive PreStocks tokens they can keep, sell or use elsewhere.

The model has paid out real money: by 18 September 2026 StonkFun said $1.3 million in rewards had gone to holders of coins paired with Anthropic via PreStocks.[5] StonkBuilder's StonkScope shows which StonkFun coins paid a wallet, with on-chain receipts.

What to watch out for

  • A paired coin isn't Anthropic exposure. Its price is set by the coin's own market; only the rewards are paid in PreStocks.
  • Fees stack. The coin's tax applies to its trades, and every transfer of the PreStocks token pays its own transfer fee — 3% on ANTHROPIC on 28 Sep 2026 — each reward payout included.[6]
  • Eligibility still applies. Receiving PreStocks as a reward doesn't make you eligible to hold them; PreStocks' terms cover tokens however they were acquired.[7]
  • Anyone can launch. A coin being on StonkFun is no endorsement by StonkFun, PreStocks or StonkBuilder.
